In a world ruled by violence, power, and betrayal, Alessio Moretti is a feared mafia don who enforces loyalty with an iron fist. Ruthless and calculated, he has no room for weakness—until Kim Carter, a struggling college student, stumbles into his deadly world.

Kim’s only goal is to survive, juggling multiple jobs to stay afloat. But one night, after finishing a late shift, she witnesses a brutal mafia execution—a mistake that marks her for death. Hunted down by the very men who run the city’s underworld, she is saved at the last second by Alessio himself, a man she had unknowingly crossed paths with before.

Instead of killing her to silence a witness, Alessio makes a dangerous choice—he keeps her under his protection. Kim is thrown into a world of luxury and violence, where trust is a rare commodity and love is even deadlier. As she fights to hold onto her independence, she can’t ignore the dark allure of the man who holds her fate in his hands.

Alessio has spent his life keeping emotions at bay, but Kim challenges him in ways no one else ever has. She is a distraction—a liability he should eliminate. Yet, the more she defies him, the more he finds himself drawn to her fire. In his world, love is a weakness, and weakness gets you killed.

As a rival mafia family seeks revenge, betrayals unfold, and blood is spilled, Alessio and Kim are forced into a dangerous game of power, control, and undeniable attraction. But in a world where loyalty is fleeting and enemies lurk in every shadow, will their growing connection be their greatest strength—or their ultimate downfall?

I like the premise of the story, there haven't been any annoying stereotypical plot points and the characters are pretty good. The writing quality isn't the best right now, but when author gets an editor that will be great too I expect. Overall I enjoy the story a lot right now 👍

A great read! A real underdog that is going to the top story. Lots of room for side character development if the main character slows down his progress in the future.

Well, so far so good of the reboot, I still like the original more, but that's probably because I enjoyed the 451 chapters of it.And by the way, there will be no betrayal by close one's in this reboot, right? Because if that's the case I'll just stop reading it right away. I stopped reading ATG because of that
