I stumbled upon this a few days ago and now I can't seem to put it down. This novel is perfect for readers who easily lose interest in repetitive plots. The author constantly introduces fresh elements that captivate your attention and leave you eager for more. Each arc offers a unique theme that, although familiar in other works, is executed with creative twists that make it stand out. I appreciate how the author avoids cliches like the male and female主角 dynamic that can become overdone and unrealistic in many novels.

Despite initial negative feedback on the first arc, I feel compelled to defend this book and its main character, Ning Shu. Many readers abandoned it due to the perceived weakness of the protagonist, but I believe they didn't give it a fair chance. Ning Shu, who spent most of her life in a hospital battling cancer, enters a new life as a task taker with limited knowledge and skills. In the first arc, she finds herself in a challenging situation where she must compete against an experienced character, akin to a新手挑战老手.

The criticism stems from the expectation of an Overpowered (OP) protagonist依赖运气和剧情保护。However, Ning Shu's character development throughout the arc showcases resilience and determination despite her lack of experience. It's important to remember that her survival tactics might not align with the typical "harem" approach, but that's what makes her relatable and human. So, don't let the first arc discourage you; give the story a chance, and you might find yourself loving it.

The novel is intriguing, initially challenging me with its lack of romantic focus on the main character. However, upon further engagement, I discovered it to be a treasure藏书。 What stands out is the disconnected nature of the storylines, where recurring characters appear occasionally without major plot connections.

While I appreciate romance穿越小说, they often become repetitive when the protagonist solely depends on the male lead. This book distinguishes itself as the MC evolves independently, not relying on a single person, but rather using and manipulating others to achieve her goals. It's a breath of fresh air to witness her growth as a character, learning from her emotions and reaping the rewards of her actions.

The MC adapts her persona to fit the story and accomplish tasks, occasionally succumbing to her feelings but always maturing. As for concerns about racism, sexism, or catering to male approval, it's essential to note that the portrayal of certain characters serves to highlight their superficiality and lack of depth. The author does not endorse seeking validation solely from men. Additionally, the emphasis on skin color is rooted in historical context, reflecting traditional beauty standards in ancient and contemporary China, where lighter skin was often considered more attractive.

In conclusion, this novel offers a unique take on character development and storytelling, deftly addressing societal norms and expectations.

The writing and translation are commendable. The main character, a formidable female protagonist, focuses on efficiently completing her combat assignments without relying on unfair advantages. Initially, she lacks skills and charisma, but gradually rises through the ranks, albeit at a sluggish pace. The early chapters of each arc can be disheartening, particularly during the first one where the protagonist faces injustice – so be cautious; this isn't for those seeking an overpowered hero or instant gratification.

Each arc begins with a rough start, but the story's progression offers intrigue. In terms of romance, this novel is a dry desert; love interests are scarce, and positive interactions with the main character are as rare as finding a mythical unicorn. The male lead, if present, is practically non-existent. If you can endure the harsh beginning and appreciate character development, there's potential for an engaging narrative.

I absolutely adore the wit of the main character (MC) when dealing with overused tropes and the quirky, underdeveloped dynamics between the male and female leads. The gradual transformation from vulnerability to strength throughout the book is highly satisfying. The revelation of the MC's job unfolds like a captivating mystery, and the constant shifts in plot and settings keep the story fresh and engaging. Watching the MC subvert and manipulate the cliches of typical Chinese novels in their own twisted fashion is an absolute delight.

I must commend the author for their exceptional skill in crafting unique characters within a novel that revolves around exploring various worlds. Each character, including supporting ones, has a well-developed backstory and contributes to their distinct arcs. Despite a consistent central theme of completing tasks, the narrative remains fresh due to the introduction of new situations and intricate plots in the 13 arcs thus far. Even the standard tropes of male and female leads are given their own distinct quirks, setting this story apart.

The mystery element adds depth, as the reader gradually uncovers that things are not always as they seem. This twist, while common in transmigration stories, stands out because the unusual events happen sparingly, occurring only a handful of times throughout the series. This rarity gives greater weight to the overarching plot and provides welcome breaks from the otherwise extensive narrative.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this book a read.

This is indeed a refreshing discovery! Our protagonist is a female character who deviates from the usual trope of being obsessed with romance, a genius, assassin, or possessing extraordinary abilities like a "golden finger." She hasn't even completed her formal education, having missed out on high school. This is a genuine starting point from scratch.

She understands the importance of survival, as her options boil down to either succeed or perish – which naturally drives her to拼命求生, actions many would take in such circumstances. Love? To her, it's a concept she can barely comprehend; her priority is her own existence, not romantic entanglements. She sees herself as an employee, detached from her clients' personal lives, solely focused on fulfilling her duties.

Networking is crucial, even without a designated male lead to chauffeur her around. This story doesn't follow the typical formula of a character gaining power through a system to重生 or revert back to their original world. The question remains: what, if any, rewards await her? With each world she conquers and grows stronger, what challenges and consequences will the unseen forces behind the scenes face?

I am genuinely intrigued by where this narrative will take her and how her increasing power will affect the dynamics between her and those who may seek to control or exploit her.

    1. Impressive translation.
    2. Unconvincing plotline involving trashy elements.
    3. In the first mission, the main character rescues an incredibly powerful being, which feels unrealistic.
    4. There are numerous task takers, with repetitive tasks from previous years, despite having thousands of planes; surprisingly, she frequently encounters familiar faces.
    5. Task assigners are responsible for selecting suitable individuals to save planes, but some chosen ones are clearly unsuited, undermining the importance of character traits.
    6. Regrettably, with such a vast fleet, most missions revolve around clichéd love triangles and betrayals, often poorly executed and recycled. It lacks originality.
    7. The protagonist's intelligence has skyrocketed by over 200 points, but her actions don't reflect this significant increase.

I particularly admire her unwavering strength, always accompanied by a delicate flower that requires her tender protection. It's not always present, but the essence is there. This isn't your typical romance novel; don't come expecting overly-sweet cliches. Instead, you'll find a protagonist, Ning Shu, who struggles to assert herself, defying the mold of a traditional strong female lead. There are subtle hints of other dynamics, but given the genre, it leans more towards an intriguing mix. In summary, this is a fantastic read for seasoned enthusiasts, boasting captivating storylines and a pesky, possibly dishonest character named 2333 or 3, who plays a significant role in challenging Ning Shu's journey.

This is one of my all-time favorite stories. The central theme revolves around the idea that independence is key for a woman, but it can also be interpreted as a guide to personal growth and accountability. Here's a breakdown:

    Pros:
    1. Excellent translation - I appreciate the high-quality rendition.
    2. The FL (Female Lead) portrayal is strong and unapologetic, avoiding cliches like submissive CEO tropes.
    3. Character development is well-done, showcasing growth throughout the story.
    4. Engaging arcs keep readers hooked.
    5. Side characters add depth and variety to the narrative.
    6. While the ML (Male Lead) and FL's relationship is not fully explored yet, I'm excited for their progression, hoping for a healthy dynamic.

    Cons:
    1. There's a concern expressed about the FL's mental well-being, which seems rooted in unconventional Chinese beliefs. This might be off-putting for some.
    2. Some parts exhibit cringe-worthy elements associated with common novel stereotypes.

I highly recommend starting with Arc 1 and if you don't enjoy it, feel free to move on to Arc 2 or beyond, as each subsequent arc offers its own unique experience.

I have a structured approach to reviewing, with a clear layout, sections, and criteria. However, when it comes to this particular novel, despite its many positive aspects, I find myself unable to adhere to that system. The author seems to possess an unusual blend of strengths and weaknesses, which is quite intriguing.

The novel belongs to the Quick Transmigration genre, a common theme where the protagonist travels to various worlds, confronts challenges, and moves on. Our protagonist, Ning Shu, is initially portrayed as wise and resourceful. However, considering her character's development, it's difficult to reconcile her with the face-slapping nature of the genre, where young female protagonists often encounter adversity.

Typically, in such stories, authors create villainous opponents for the protagonist to overcome. This author does that to some extent but struggles with consistency. Ning Shu, as a protagonist, is meant to drive women to their demise, but the author occasionally fails to portray her victims as truly evil, instead making them可怜 or sympathetic. Despite this, the author still proceeds to kill them off.

To illustrate, one instance involves a rural girl who saves a defeated general, leading to a love affair. Despite being unaware of the complexities, she faces prejudice and isolation in the new world. Another example involves an aspiring actress who is forced to attend parties, leading to a tragic rape by the male lead, who then manipulates her into a relationship.

The author's justification for these events often relies on questionable logic and morality, painting the victims as villains simply because they are in the protagonist's path. While there are arcs where the villain is appropriately portrayed, the inconsistency becomes frustrating.

Despite these issues, I find the story entertaining, particularly for fans of Quick Transmigration with a focus on action and adventure rather than romance. The plot explores various themes like parenting, cultivation, warfare, and survival, which are familiar but executed better than many other translated examples.

In conclusion, while I appreciate the engaging narrative, the novel's treatment of morality and the portrayal of characters can be problematic. I would rate it three stars if the rating system were available, but the story requires readers to suspend judgment about the righteousness of those being "face-slapped," with the exception of the over-the-top male leads.

I hold this novel in great affection. Initially, it progresses at a leisurely pace, but it truly shines after the first storyline arc. The main character stands out as the most rational and relatable female lead (FL) I've encountered. She avoids being overly idealized or relying on plot devices, instead choosing to work diligently towards her independence.

"Update: The repetition is becoming tiresome, and I don't see a resolution coming anytime soon. Discontinued.

This is a story revolving around face-slaps – seriously, don't overthink it. Seeking a lighthearted, silly, and OP protagonist without any overly emotional 'main love interest' in a system setting? Look no further!

The narrative takes on common light novel tropes and mercilessly parodies them. So far, I'd say it beats 'side character transmigration' in this regard. The main character is powerful, but not god-like, creating a balance where there are still thrilling crisis moments – or maybe not quite as intense.

Overall, it's an entertaining read for me. Characters may be one-dimensional and some have low智商, which is typical for this genre. However, if you enjoy a slapstick, simple-minded system story with an independent MC who doesn't rely heavily on a love interest, this web novel is a definite recommendation."
