For goodness' sake, if they don't like it, they should voice their opinion directly! It baffles me that some readers find this appealing. I've read over 40 chapters now, and the main character remains a doormat. No more! I'm done with this.
Truth be told, I would love to step into Ning Shu's shoes and experience the challenges she faces, even if I might not excel as she does or risk getting eliminated. The point is, I crave a narrative where I encounter tasks similar to hers, but without the romantic aspect – no falling in love with the male lead, please!
One significant aspect is the absence of romance or a love interest (male lead), which is a breath of fresh air. It's a relief not to have to endure annoyance from a pesky love interest or feel同情 for a secondary character with a tragic fate.
The story either aims to evoke sympathy for the MC or elicit a tragic response from the reader, but it falls flat due to the lack of positive events. The constant barrage of negative incidents is exhausting. Although I can tolerate a few melancholy chapters, the MC's situation hasn't shown much improvement since chapter 27. The negativity lacks depth or a clear message; her classmates' hostility stems from her reporting the FL, leading to a chain reaction of mistreatment because she's perceived as weak.
In summary, it's an emotionally draining reading experience.
1. **Feminism and Independence**: The author, and by extension the protagonist, strongly advocates for women's rights, self-sufficiency, and the idea that love isn't everything. She believes women can thrive independently, and that attachment can cloud judgment. She prioritizes self-love and doesn't dwell on lost relationships.
2. **Minimal Romance**: The MC's character avoids romantic entanglements, aligning with her values and personality. Characters like Tai Shu, Li Wen, Qing Yue, and others reappear occasionally, but not often. She's selective about relationships and focuses on mission objectives.
3. **Lone Wolf Attitude**: The MC is cautious with trust and is highly driven towards her goals. She's less focused on friendships and appears practical, only engaging when necessary. She has made a few close friends, while most interactions are professional.
4. **Humor**: The novel features a comedic touch, although it might not appeal to everyone. There are recurring jokes that highlight her evolving character, like her growing resemblance to a nanny.
5. **Complex Characters**: Each character has depth, despite occasional inconsistencies in development. Even minor figures like Tai Shu exhibit distinct personalities and quirks, but most are not easily manipulated.
6. **World-Building**: The setting starts off simple for the protagonist, but as she rises through the ranks, she uncovers more details about the larger world. Missions serve as a means to maintain stability within the system, with a few subtle plot holes.
Overall, the novel offers a fresh take on the reincarnation genre, combining strong themes, relatable characters, and intricate world-building.
