In his previous life, Qiao Xuan had many lovers at once, and one day, he was finally caught red-handed. Once he died, he transmigrated into a bird in a cultivation world. He swore to start anew and focus on attaining a human form.

But as it turned out, after he worked arduously to cultivate a human form, when he was undergoing his tribulation, heavenly lightning struck him into ash. All that was left was a trace of his spirit. His master said that his fickle behavior in his previous life had tainted his spiritual root in this life, and the only way for him to achieve human form was to undergo seven lives of love tribulations. For the sake of becoming human, Qiao Xuan could only be reborn and undergo his tribulations.

In these seven lives, he was an emperor’s male pet, a devil lord’s furnace, a sword master’s cultivation partner, a demon king’s ugly s*ave…

But no matter how infatuated he was, no matter how much sincere affection he expended without regret, in the end, he never had a peaceful death.

Just when he finally finished his seventh life and returned to the cultivation world, successfully passing his tribulation and attaining a human form, he found that something wasn’t right…

In private, the calm, aloof emperor spent his tender affection on a puppet. That puppet looked exactly like him when he was a male pet in his first life…

The cold, savage devil lord had searched the three realms for a thousand years, exhausting both the heavens and the underworld, in order to find a method to gather the soul of his lover…

The sword cultivator who killed his wife in order to prove his dedication to the Dao was faced with the most beautiful woman in the cultivation world, who had come to confess her love. Yet he publicly announced that his late wife from the mortal world was the one and only love of his life…

The demon king with overwhelming strength had lived on an icy peak in the wasteland for hundreds of years. It was said that this was all for the sake of the ugly little s*ave he had lived with there in the past, and later abandoned…

All of his lovers from his love tribulations in his previous lives were here, and they all wanted to get back together with him!

Qiao Xuan: …I’m sorry to bother you, but you’ve got the wrong person.

Qiao Xuan couldn’t put up with his exes’ desperate pursuit any longer. He could only beg his unapproachable master for help. His master’s cultivation was boundless, his heart was clean of desire, and he was uninterested in the affairs of the world. No matter how you looked at him, he seemed like someone Qiao Xuan could depend on. Most importantly, his master had a detached temperament.

Qiao Xuan: “Master, can you help me?”

Master: “Yes.”

Afterwards, Qiao Xuan sat in his master’s embrace. What happened to being detached? It was all a lie.

Ji Moyao is one of my favorite webnovel authors, and their works consistently capture my heart. This particular novel is no exception. If you enjoy stories where the protagonist attracts multiple love interests, definitely give this a read.

From the onset, the author establishes that the main male lead (ML) is MC's master, setting him apart from the other 'despicable gongs' who unintentionally or otherwise cause harm to the protagonist. According to MC, he's the most handsome and charming of them all. Initially, MC restrains his feelings to maintain respect for his master, but the sacrifice and devotion ML shows are truly heartwarming. [Heart eyes emoji]

While the narrative was enjoyable, I doubt I'll reread it. The concept of ex-lovers being powerful figures in their respective domains, vying for MC's affection, made for entertaining escapades. However, MC eventually moves on, leading to comedic encounters to avoid conflicts. The classic damsel-in-distress trope and the ML's knight-in-shining-armor rescues were captivating, but the climax felt somewhat underwhelming.

The story's suspense led to a fantastic twist, but the resolution was abrupt, leaving me with a lingering sense of disappointment. When I reached the end, I found myself wondering, "Is that it?" It was a confusing moment that left me momentarily stunned.

    A spoiler follows:

The supporting characters and their fates were unclear; they seemed to simply vanish without proper closure. The main couple's interaction was limited, and I wished for more intimate moments between them. There was only one kiss scene, which was a letdown, especially considering the romantic tone the summary portrayed.

There was a brief kissing scene earlier in the story, but it was seemingly a figment of MC's imagination. It's a shame, because I would have appreciated more tender scenes or even subtle intimacy before their relationship progressed.

Despite the unsatisfactory ending, I still rate this novel 5 stars due to the engaging and amusing romance,尽管它可能略显安全和适合所有年龄层次的读者。 I would have preferred more depth in their connection, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the reading experience.

Completed this book despite its flaws, as I often persist even when I dislike a book I've almost finished, hoping for a redeeming twist (which unfortunately doesn't happen often, wasting my time). The story was entertaining, but there were aspects that held it back from a perfect rating:

    1. Flashbacks/Info Dumps: The "flashbacks" were more like excessive recaps of the typical transmigration trope, especially since this story involved multiple reincarnations in the same universe. The repetition of retelling the same events from different characters' perspectives became tiresome, especially when the differences were minimal and mostly consisted of redundant thoughts.

    2. Missing Character: Ye Siluo, a significant character and potential love interest, was disappointingly absent from the climax. His disappearance felt like an oversight rather than a deliberate choice, leaving readers wondering if he had met an untimely demise.

    3. Repetitive Plot Elements: Kidnapping and rescue scenarios became repetitive, losing their impact, especially when the same ex(es) were involved multiple times. The ending felt abrupt and could have benefited from more development of the main couple's relationship.

    4. Lack of Variation: Despite the multiple love interests, the story sometimes felt repetitive due to the repetitiveness of certain plot points, which was a letdown considering my interest in variety.

The MC, unique storylines, and the intricate overarching plot kept me engaged, especially the time loop element. If you enjoy stories with multiple love interests, you might still find enjoyment in this book. However, if variety and originality are your top priorities, you might struggle with the repetitiveness.

Hello, I'm banoffee, the translator. This is a sneak peek at my ongoing series where I share the Chinese novels I'm reading with everyone. Feel free to take a look; there's no need to ask. Here's an exciting addition to Ji Mo Yao's collection of trashy emperor novels. What sets this apart from others:

    1. **Non-Trash Protagonist**: Unlike typical trashy emperor stories, the main protagonist, Qiao Xuan, isn't a scoundrel. Instead, he's kind-hearted and self-sacrificing, similar to "Don't Pick Up Boyfriends From the Trash Bin." The focus isn't on the abusive relationships, but rather Qiao Xuan learning from others' mistakes without forming lasting connections.

    2. **Unique World Travel System**: The novel offers a logical explanation for Qiao Xuan's reincarnations within the same world's three realms, without relying on contrived systems or points. Each life's backstory is brief, taking up only one or two chapters, with the bulk of the story devoted to the main plot and character interactions. The author skillfully weaves together the reincarnation narrative.

    3. **Humorous and Development**: Qiao Xuan starts off more comedic than cunning, but by the end, he develops his own formidable abilities.

Each life is presented out of chronological order with flashbacks:

    - In his first life, as Rong Xuan, he was the emperor's loyal friend, set against a powerless ruler while being a sickly nobleman's grandson. The family was betrayed and destroyed, leading to his entry into the palace under a new identity.

    - In his second life, Qing Xun, he served as the furnace for a devil sect master, Bai Cang, experiencing a stark contrast to his impoverished rural life.

    - In his third life, Feng Xuan, he was a sect heir with a weak aptitude for cultivation, entangled in a tragic love story with a talented disciple.

    - In his fourth life, born in a demon-ruled wasteland, he survived being sacrificed and ingratiated himself with a demon king.

    - In his fifth life, Qiao Jiayu, a pampered young master, found love with a rescued stranger amidst family turmoil.

    - In his sixth life, Huo Ping, he overthrew his captor and took on a life of rebellion, eventually adopting a ruthless persona.

    - In his final life, Qin Mu, a martial artist from a merchant family, fought for justice during a declining empire, befriending a rogue cultivator along the way.

If you're looking for a fresh take on reincarnation stories with a touch of humor, this novel is worth checking out. 😊

The character MC experienced seven different lives and formed connections with seven individuals. However, his ultimate love lies with the master, not any of those previous partners (this is not a spoiler since the author revealed it early on). Although a few of his past relationships were disappointing, most were decent. While the story itself is enjoyable, I couldn't continue reading because it felt like a bitter-sweet ending, with everyone else unhappy except for the main couple.
