Though I'm not typically drawn to school shoujo mangas, this one truly captivated me. The story didn't feel overly silly or excessively girly. It revolves around a boy trying to stay under the radar because everyone mistakes him for his father. Despite his dad often acting like a jerk, he does tell Sana outright that he needs to be himself rather than merely going through life trying not to resemble his dad. The characters are well-crafted and believable.
The artwork is solid. While it's not my absolute favorite style, it complements the story well. The lines are thin and slightly brush-like, giving it a light, airy feel. It's highly stylized, with large eyes and exaggerated features, but the sketchy quality minimizes their prominence (I must admit, huge round eyes aren't really my thing).
Overall, I found it well worth reading. I later discovered that this is a prequel to another manga, which I haven't read yet. Still, I believe this works perfectly as a standalone comic.
