I, Who Got Transported to Another World with the Strongest Cheat, Quit the Knight and Went on a Journey but the Strongest Yandere Knight Captain in That World Followed Me so I Can’t See Another Girl

The book is incredibly swift-paced; I've practically breezed through most chapters within the last half hour, and it's almost as if the narrative is racing at breakneck speed. As for the characters, they present some intrigue - the protagonist endures a truly harrowing existence, while the female lead, with her possessive nature reminiscent of a gorilla, embarks on a journey to uncover the reason behind the MC's torment. However, I feel like the author could benefit from slowing down and allowing me to develop a deeper connection with the story, instead of constantly whisking me off to new situations.

The story started strong with an engaging pace and relatable main character (MC) and supporting couple, who appeared to be carefree. However, issues arose when the intricate backstory of their world became convoluted with an overly elaborate fantasy setting, making it difficult to follow. The last 15 chapters were filled with absurd battles and information dumps that verged on the nonsensical.

Additionally, crucial aspects remained unexplained, such as the root cause of the MC's suppressed desires, why he hid them so intensely despite being unable to express them, and the enigma surrounding the evil god. The origin, its connection to their war, and the events leading to its defeat were all questionable.

Moreover, the mechanics of the repeating loop – whether it was a time loop or a different reality – were unclear, and the ending left readers wondering why the MC returned to the starting point after breaking free, given that it wasn't the beginning (as he had already been trapped for millions of years).

Despite these issues, the title seemed misleading, as the MC's fascination with the female lead (FL) was one-sided, and there were no significant secondary characters or romantic interests for the MC or FL. The portrayal of the FL's supposed yandere nature was limited to fleeting references from past events.

Lastly, it puzzled why the final four chapters were behind a paywall, considering the series had concluded and the translation was completed by October 2022.

Initially I wasn't too interested in Ollie's story after the first 2 but I was captivated the whole way through and found myself completely invested in the characters. Ashley's writing just gets better and better and I cannot wait to see what comes next
