The story wasn't particularly unique. It's been used countless times, especially by the author of this manga. I'm not familiar with his works, but I'm pretty sure that a few of them follow the same pattern. It was amusing from the start and really kept me interested, which happened in my case too. However, there were times while reading this manga that I felt bored, and that's the reason why I only gave it an 8 as its overall rating. On the other hand, after feeling bored for a while, I found myself amused again by the twist of the story. That's one thing I liked about this manga. The story doesn't give a unique impression, as I mentioned, but believe me, it has its own way of showing its uniqueness.
Regarding the art, since it's a manhwa, I find its art a little bit unique in a way, with its own positive and negative sides. Honestly, I find manhwa art a little strange, more on the negative side, which is why this is one of the first manhwas I've ever read.
<p>
And honestly, it was truly awesome. I found myself smiling a lot, and the story was genuinely interesting. Most romances I've read are just average—good but nothing more. This one, however, gave me chills as I read it.
*May contain minor spoilers!
The plot and storyline are somewhat classic and simple, reminding me of "Hana Yori Dango," but in a more extreme manner. I absolutely adore the female main character and the psychotic love dynamics between the characters. Although the art style isn't really my cup of tea—the big sparkly eyes shoujo-style—I kept reading because the story was compelling.
I think things started going downhill around the middle towards the end. The first half was super exciting, but the latter half became calmer, like a psychological power struggle among chaebols. The ending wasn't satisfying enough either. From the start, it wasn't meant to be a melodrama, but it still felt like it ended on an "okay" note.
Conclusion: The first half was incredibly exciting. If you like the main character, you might stick with it until the end. But if the MC doesn't resonate with you, it could become plain and dull. Plus, the funny moments were decent.
