Positive aspects:
1. The plot twist with the male lead (ML) was a pleasant surprise - it revealed that he had a secret identity as a 'daddy long legs' in his previous life, which carried over to this world.
2. The romance was clean-cut, focusing more on the purity of the relationship rather than explicit content, which suited the characters well.
3. I adored the portrayal of the side character, the bun (a possibly literal or metaphorical term), as intelligent and obedient - they were incredibly endearing.
Negative points:
1. The climax with the rival lacked depth and felt underwhelming.
2. Character development could have been more substantial – the characters didn't grow significantly throughout the story.
3. After chapter 110, the pace became monotonous and rushed, suggesting the author might have rushed to wrap up the narrative.
Overall assessment:
A delightful, entertaining read with a touch of cuteness, but it somewhat adhered too closely to the standard formula for these types of novels.
The pacing is dreadfully slow, and there's nothing compelling to keep me engaged. Even though I appreciate sweet moments, the constant presence of the child's scenes that feel irrelevant amidst bland MC interactions becomes grating. Despite having two intriguing elements - entertainment and the switched at birth plot - the sheer boredom throughout the 100+ chapters renders it unenjoyable. I found myself needing to read another book just to avoid boredom, but ultimately, I've lost interest and decided to call it quits.
Yet, the plot and dialogue occasionally lose my interest, lacking memorable moments.
Nonetheless, an overall satisfying conclusion.
Anyway, I'll continue reading until I find a more appealing option or lose interest and drop it. The main character's personality isn't terrible, so the cliché isn't entirely unbearable, but it does follow a common pattern in this genre – initially, everyone is against the protagonist, but post-transmigration, they all rally behind them. This sudden shift feels contrived.
Given that most novels in this category tend to follow such a predictable structure, I've long stopped searching for one with a logical progression. All I ask is for it not to be overly irritating, and this one, while not unbearable, is simply boring because I've seen too many similar stories. Had I read it earlier, I might have given it four stars. However, I'll refrain from rating it now to avoid any potential bias."
