In the crime ridden city of Eldran, where the mafia known as the Jesters reign supreme, an assassin’s game of life and death unfolds every five years. Known as "The Duke's Game," this brutal competition is devised by the enigmatic leader of the Jesters, "The Grand Duke." Assassin families must send their most skilled child into the arena, with the ultimate goal of killing the Duke and seizing control of Eldran while facing off against themselves to reach the top—but only for five years, until the next game begins.

For the Weber family, notorious in the assassin world, their champion is unexpected: Benjamin Weber, a volatile 13-year-old who is seen as the weakest among his siblings. Unhinged but determined, Benjamin enters the deadly game, driven not by the desire for power or glory, but by a personal bet with his father to rise within his family. With each participant longing for survival and a chance to rule Eldran, Benjamin must navigate a deadly path of violence in a city where trust is a dangerous gamble.
