Nora Jackson's arranged marriage to Daniel Wilson began with a promise to fulfill her duties as a wife. Despite her efforts, her husband's heart remained unyielding; he saw her solely as a physical companion, praising her bedroom skills but refusing to let love grow between them. For three years, Nora held on, hoping for a change, but when his childhood sweetheart re-entered his life, the facade shattered. On the fateful day she discovered him in his lover's home, nearly undressed, Nora made the painful decision to end their union. Handing him divorce papers, she confronted him with the truth, "You were obligated to marry me, but I've come to understand you'll never love me. Use this opportunity to be with the one you truly desire." Annoyed, he agreed, "Very well, let's divorce." Later, a revelation stunned Daniel – Nora was the elusive cardiologist he had been searching for over the past three years. He felt a mixture of guilt and determination, asking, "Nora, how can I make amends? Marrying you again would be my way of trying to right my wrongs." But Nora, having moved on, replied, "I have no desire to marry someone like you. Shouldn't you be with the woman you love?" Even the suggestion of rescheduling his wedding for her sake fell on deaf ears as she closed the chapter on their past.

I'm getting better at reading unedited books. Once you get past the personal pronoun misuse, likely from a difficulty in language translation, it's a very enjoyable read. I just caught up with the author at chapter 217,and I am looking forward to what Caos will unfold next for this this couple.3 4 Reply
