Very engaging.So far our MC hasn't needed to really fight, and the politics and schemes have been good. A breath of fresh air to be honest.

The writing was captivating, The characters were believable and I cared about them,The plot had so many twists and turns I couldn't put the book down and I look forward to witness a more upstanding story.

The thing that stands out to me the most about 33 Risen is that the worldview of this story is really grand. I think most people are used to starting off slow with a tiny worldview and then having it slowly expand. But in this story, you're off with a blast right from the start! The protagonist is a kind of god and we get to know a lot of mostly supreme beings right from the beginning. Of course, there's a lot more to it than that, but I don't want to spoil everything here!If you're able to accept such a wide worldview from the beginning, I think this can be a very rare experience to enjoy. It takes a certain amount of daring and talent to pull this off at the start of the story, so I think silver did an exceptional job here. I hope everyone can appreciate it some more.Another thing that stood out to me is the 'openness' that some characters seem to have in this story. Okay, so I'll admit that given their setting and the kind of thought process that they should have at that age/background, it makes sense. It IS likely that gods that have lived for millions of years don't feel the need to have strictly defined relationships and are more comfortable with each other. But to be able to accept that mindset requires the reader to have a certain openness themselves, and I don't know how many can do it.I think this made me a little uncomfortable myself, but Silver did it in an inexplicitly tasteful way, and the main character himself does not partake in this so I think it's easier to accept.Speaking of the main character, I think Silver did a great job with Samsara! When writing a story it is very easy to make the main character without flaws, but Samsara has his ups and downs. You will feel both his negativity and positivity, and it makes him more human than most main characters, which is a bit funny considering he's not really human.Anyway, I think the story is definitely worth a try! I recommend not judging it just from chapter one. I know most readers are used to just looking at the first chapter and not continuing if they don't like it at the end of it, but I feel that this novel really starts to grow on you only once you've gone through at least a dozen chapters. I think if you're very impatient then at least give it 5 chapters, and if you have some time then read till chapter 13.
