In the spring of his first year of high school, Sota Sakuhara's first-ever girlfriend broke up with him to be with someone else. That someone else is Shizuno Mizushima, a strikingly attractive girl whose tomboyish charm captivates both boys and girls, setting her apart from any typical high school student. This sets the stage for a "one-way" romantic comedy where a beautiful tomboy tries to win him over every day.
It's not just the art either. Everything about this "Berserk" just feels wrong. The sequence feels too rushed, much less attention to detail, no subtlety to changes in expression. Worst of all it just is not fun to read at all. It's like looking at amateur trying to copy the master by cutting and stitching it together with visible seams here and there. It's bad.
