i just started this(currently atchapter 17) and my only complaint is that he is not enough of an engineer. any properly trained modern engineer would be a god in his position. he is too fascinated with the witches i think, but his knowledge should be far more powerful than any magic. also he doesnt need a "spesific temprature range" to make cement. you can produce enough heat to process limestone with a basic kiln and you cant actually overshoot it with the tech they have. his concern should have been the ratio of the mixture and the properties of the sand he has available to him, not the temprature to process lime. you can even just use regular wood as your fuel if you have a proper kiln. hopefully he starts doing actual engineering in the future. otherwise its kinda ridiculus to have him be an engineer in his past life.
