    I’d highly recommend reading he light novels, it’s ongoing and volume 8 is the latest. It’s far better than the manga imo with more details and it’s far ahead

    On a lighter note... Gieve really has given his total loyalty to Arslan, it isn't something new, he has shown his commitment... but I have no doubt Gieve would have hightailed from this conflict in the blink of an eye if he didn't like Arslan... and what he has done for him till now, shows he feels much more for Arslan than just "like".

    He has his undivided respect and loyalty, and for a man like Gieve... that isn't something he would gift just anyone.
