There's a moderately sized cast of characters, but most of the time they get sidelined.

Understandably they are secondary/supporting characters but they don't get any progression in their character arcs. If they do, their arcs are really short and they remain stagnant afterwards.

In general these characters just idle about waiting for the MC to do something. It is such a disservice as they are all shown to to capable and intelligent, yet often they are relegated to be just pawns to fill out the action sequences.

I do know this story still has a long way to go before the end apparently, so I do hope it gets better. I still enjoy it very much.

sure there are small things in the webtoon that ticked me off, but overall? Very solid plot, superb art, not much to complain about. Although, I do wish there were more casual character interactions.

Read about 70-100 chapters 2 years ago and it's...kinda boring.
Apparently the next hundred or so are where some interesting things happen but...I don't know if I'll ever bother.
I can say that in those first hundred there's a lot of hints of world-building that haven't amounted to anything. Which would be fine if the interim was filled with other interesting stuff. But...it isn't.
I normally write more detailed reviews/comments but its' been a couple years now. I guess at the time I felt bad about posting a negative review after all these glowing ones.

Finally, a manhwa adaptation that does the original novel justice. Amazing art and good pacing, the details in the novel are also represented very well in the manhwa. So far it's been very faithful, which is great, since most of my gripe with adaptations comes with losing some nuances introduced in the original novel.

I'm patiently waiting for my favorite arcs to be adapted. I can't wait to see

Demon King of Salvation KDJand the Constellation reveals. I feel that it's gonna be epic.

I love this manga. The world building is amazing. The MC has a ridiculous cheat skill that still turns out to have believable limits. The overlay of other characters with other cheat skills is wonderful. The cast of characters are rich. The play with time is amazing. The philosophical underpinnings of the world are beautiful. The interlay of multiple cultural histories is great. This is just a fabulous piece of work.

The meta-narrative about the nature of a story is profound and beautiful. It also feels well paced as it explores the nature of stories from the metaphor of what otherwise feels almost like a tower climbing manhwa.

Instead of devolving into an endless cycle of cheat-fueled powerups like so many manhwa with a similar premise, this one gains emotional resonance as it goes on. You care for the characters more over time, and even though the world is fantastical, the stakes feel real.

Flame does a really high-quality translation that helps that come through.
