I don't blame Korvus for "using" the cleaners, an organization's mission and process will evolve with time, and the interests involved will affect it... the important part is that Korvus is able to balance the interests of everyone.

He wants to reveal the secrets, there are those who are therre for the thrill of the fight and those who want to protect people, those are people prepared to fight and deal with danger, from the start this isn't a job a person starts without at the least the conscious realization that there will be danger.

Him not telling many is justified too, everyone has their secrets, and he has the right to have his too... as long as the group works together and he simply doesn't throw them away when convenient, he can "use" and be "used".

And... his tattoo was crying, something that is away from the attention of most, if that isn't a symbol of sincerity I don't know what would be.

Great story and would highly recommend it.
