Viz Chapter 161

The scene and main characters are set early. The interesting point of the story is Tokiyuki's fleeing abilities yet he’s suppose to be the new leader. The take home message is fleeing is about staying alive not dying. The story is fast pace and doesn't stay on anything too long. Battles are interesting and have focus. It's heavy with combat from talented individuals. Focus has been mainly on each character's natural talent, experience level, and quirks.
The priest plays an essential role in Tokiyuki's journey, but he plays a similar yet very different role from Neuro or Koro-sensei in Matsui's other works(as of now). Ashikaga Takauji (Tokiyuki’s enemy) is supposed to be a "hero" of the story, but I see him as the villain in this story. I expected more supernatural, but it's been very limited as of chapter 91. There are only glimpses and foreshadowing. I feel there will be a lot of surprises in the future.
From the mangaka of assassination classroom, so expectations are high but so far adequately met. Read up to Ch. 66 so far. Following the classic hero's story, the characters have fun quirks that border on the supernatural to support a displaced heir's return to power. Makes me curious if the series will end after the inevitable return to power or if the story will go into a repetitive state of big new enemy after the defeat of big old enemy. Art style and premise is interesting. There are dangers of introducing characters that will inevitably fulfill their one role in the story and never develop further, but the series is still relatively new so looking forward to future arcs.
I think the art is kind of underwhelming. Interesting premise.
