    Holy stretch batman, no wonder they never animated a kaiji sequel.
    1. It requires a moderate amount of Mahjong knowledge & game theory which can turn a significant portion of people off (especially westerners)
    2. It's one single game stretched out for the entire arc (likely all 26 episodes)
    3. The main antagonist is far less likable and compelling than the previous one (Seiya Ichijou)
    4. Not nearly as exciting narrative-wise or suspense-wise or even catharsis-wise as the bong.
    5. Storyboarding & Creating an entire new soundtrack for what would likely be a lackluster season sounds like absolute hell
