Hold on, constantly into trouble I can agree but at least something is happening and it also progresses the plot while increasing targets likability. Also, most of the time she herself get out of the trouble with no help, like when someone comes in they wouldn't always be saving her based on her choice, this is proven in the FIRST 5 CHAPTERS that if she chooses the wrong dialog or action, she'll die or worse painfully slow death. Sure it underlines very strongly that it's a game, but the actual interaction is like real people and the "female character" Can still be hurt, feel, and taste like real world, so no even though it's a game the stakes does not get lowered by it at all
