The island nation of Alistria is torn apart by civil war. The Waldron family, consisting of a father, mother, and young daughter, run an arms shop in the midst of this chaos. However, a brutal military scheme leaves the father dead, the daughter abducted, and the mother, Sophia Waldron, severely beaten and missing her left eye. But Sophia is no ordinary grieving mother or mourning widow. Armed with the last remaining sniper rifle from the wreckage of their modest shop, she embarks on a singular mission: to exact vengeance on the army that destroyed everything she held dear.
If you're picking this up, expecting to follow along the story of a sniper who lost everything, then you'll be disappointed. She's mostly a background character, only showing up once every few chapters to do anything of note. The manga mostly focuses on the other members of the militia.
This would have been a good read if it wasn't so oversaturated with so much EDGE. Yes, this is a war themed manga, but there is a difference between being a realist and being an edgelord.
Really wish someone would TL this. Yet another cool manga that no one with skills to make it more accessible to others is aware of or cares for. Shame. I really need to learn moon runes sooner.
