Kanji is basically one of the 3 scripts in which Japanese is written, other 2 being Hiragana and Katakana. Kanji is the most complex of them all since the characters are taken straight from Mandarin Chinese. That being the case, there are many times a kanji for the same character can be read in different ways. It is also a possibility that a kanji is similar to a hiragana or katakana character thus providing the illusion of them being another character than itself. In this case though, the former seems true that being kanji for Issho and kanji for Ki being the same character, hence the situation.

Nah... he's pretty decent compared to a lot others that I have seen. He knows when to mature up. He lacks confidence but its ok. The stuff they talk about is indeed something that you don't have a discussion on very often. So, ofc he gets embarrassed doing his work.
