Sukuna is the misunderstood character in JJK. He's more a anti-hero than a villain. The reasons are:
- He saved Yuji from Mahito
- He tried to saved all the civilians in Shibuya after Megumi recklessly summoned Mahoraga
- He saved a random child from dying to Megumi's mistakes
- He gave Jogo a motivational speech before Jogo died
- He even tamed Mahoraga so a Shibuya incident won't happen again
- He managed to reunite Gojo with his bestfriend
- He killed Choso after he tried to kill Yuji
- He donated his cursed technique to the new generation so they can become powerful, like how Gojo wanted
- He taught Kashimoto about true love
- He pushed Higurama into learning reversed cursed technique
- He killed Megumi's sister for him so he won't have to bear the guilt of killing his own sister
- Even after all that, he told Megumi to keep living
And all of these, to end up being betrayed by everyone.
@Zephyrus
I, personally, haven't stopped reading, but do agree with the general consensus that the plot really only moves forward because everyone is kind of very stupid. And they only ever get bailed out because of how OP Shin (the MC) is.
For many, metaphorically punching your way out of an obvious trap gets kind of boring after a while.
I can't get over the fact that the story states that it had a "Peak of 20 Billion players" in the game. How many fucking people live in that version of Earth for 20 BILLION users to exist?
