At first I thought he was a bit dumb in his standards but then I realized that he is just a guy in the group who doesn't want to not contribute and is a bit afraid of not pull his weight without realizing he can do everything but the primary group task better than anyone. I realized this after doing most of a 2 person project and got thanked profusely by my partner who was super busy while I did it because it was easy.  If you think about it this way most of the stuff he does makes almost too much sense.

PEAK IS BACK

It's really awful.  All the characters become increasingly amoral, no one can ever say what they want to say, everyone makes stupid choices, it just gets tedious dragging the "story" along.  Just when it seems to be going somewhere, separates the main couple agian, almost kills off a character, gets ultra depressing, and then launches into a dumb arc where the MC gets imprisoned by a female psycho stalker and meanwhile the female love interest gets essentially raped and psychologically tortured by her evil fiance.

Its been COVID years since i read this , kinda forgot it.
