Maybe the peace the sword brought to the country is FAKE and one of the sword bearer is one twisted MF. Maybe Samura made a deal Yura to kill all sword bearer and bring an end to enchanted swords and it's myth, knowing he can kill Yura later, or so Samura thought. Hiruhiko did say this will lead to different path but same destination. Yura and Hishaku group still got many cards to play I guess.

MC is pretty  average guy, and I like that. I mean he isn't overly dense, coward or pervert.

Pretty good if you don't mind the ridiculous premise of the most indespensible guy in the army gets kicked out, because some braindead reason. Yea: "let's kick out our reviving machine, we'd rather die then have a weak guy in our rank!"
