A year after the resolution of the fight with the Protodeviln, the band Firebomber's Mylene F. Jenius (now 16 years old) is still conflicted about her feelings for lead vocalist Nekki Basara and wavering in her strength as a musician/vocalist. Acting on her desire to be on equal footing with Basara, Mylene takes an opportunity to perform with the group Jamming Angels as lead vocalist. With a television producer holding an ulterior motive, a clandestine military project, and Basara heading off into the galaxy, this action marks the start of a path that she would never have guessed.

    I can understand the complaints with the artwork because I think the story should've kept Kishimoto's art style in my opinion, however what I can't stand is the Boruto fans and haters constantly bitching and complaining about the writing so far. IT'S NOT THAT BAD. What exactly is the problem here? WTF do you expect Kishimoto to do with Boruto? No matter what direction Kishimoto does to Boruto's character and how much he changes him, you people still bitch & complain and try to make excuses to justify your ego. Grow up and get over it. You people seriously have a hate boner towards the character and the entire series. When Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z/Super, Endeavor & Bakugo from My Hero Academia, or Klaus from Black Clover were first introduced, they had terrible behaviors at first, but eventually they changed in their respective series. But when Boruto's mentality changes from a spoiled brat to more mature like, theirs somehow a problem here.
