I lowkey fuck with the art, yeah it could use some polishing but fuyuki’s art wasnt nearly as good in the beginning as it was near the end. Give it some time and the art will be great.

The story could be fleshed out a bit more though, ik we’re in the boring stage of the war but it still feels bland compared to the WN

I'd say don't waste your time. I've re-read this 3 times thinking it would be "good" over the course of a few years. It's good as a sort of power fantasy manga for the early part, but even as such it's unsatisfying.
Art is shit and stays shit, nothing substantial ever happens, power ups here and there with a loose story.
The problem is that this will go on for another 10 years if the author can help it. There is no clear end in sight, never was.
You can binge it and find it enjoyable even, but once you hit the end you will feel like never reading it again. So little happens that you could wait and read 50 chapters at a time to get about as much out of it as you would from anything else.
It's been almost 10 years since release like fucking hell... nothing ever happens.

Promised Never is truly a masterpiece. Unlike these ungrateful losers below my comment, I felt genuine excitement and satisfaction when I read this series. This is better than the current garbage shonen series.

The only glaring issue with this series is how they treat the black female characters, which they really drew in a racist way, such as with exaggerated big lips and acting like an aggressive black woman like most of the Japanese anime and manga or early Western cartoons. They really offed her in the early chapters, and I think she has potential in this series, but they really favor the white ones to progress the plot.

Right? Even if it was some sign of danger, what made him think he can scratch the guy? He has no way of knowing that MC isnt still in demon-mode, he's just on the ground.

All this love interests do seem kinda weird, however it makes sense of n the story since he’s too powerful while being young so everyone trynna cuff the MC except Mara.

man becoming a queen in this story was so difficult, FL had to endure the worse nightmares possible to achieve his happy ending, but she got his revenge at the cost of his Mother and own happines, and ML caused her so much pain and paid the price suffering the moment he realized she was his 1st love, but after all love prevailed and they got together after ML suffer a lot
