Because confronting that he is an invader means they have to kill him and he isn't a bad guy yet.
D has flipped no flops.
His final goal has been extremely straight forward this whole time.

Why bother focusing on that useless filler characters if that filler swordsman and his teammates will die in vain? The author should focus more on the Goblin Slayer and other relevant characters in this future chapters.

Personally, the realist hero one is better than this manga. The beginning of this manga is good, but after the MC gains a territory, I find the story hard to read. I think it's just me feeling that way though. I don't know how to explain it, but I think a part of the reasons is because the story becomes dialogue-heavy.
