I genuinely believe this manhwa is underappreciated, though I understand the readers' frustration with grasping or completing its storyline. This tale revolves around June, a spirited and robust girl vying to become the Queen of Light—a position representing ultimate holy power in the kingdom. Her main rival is Lucia, renowned for her beauty and perfection, albeit very quiet. Lucia stands second in line for the queen candidacy. June and Lucia also compete for Sejuru's affection, June's childhood friend whose past remains enigmatic until he began living with June's family. Yuri Shauer, another key character, serves as a magistrate involved in choosing the queen; however, his role seems powerless as candidates’ rankings depend on other factors. The plot twists significantly, making it challenging to summarize further.

The narrative can be quite confusing to follow. However, if you've read the ending, you might grasp why scenes shift frequently. Coherence is lacking, but by the end, one should manage to piece things together. I feel the conclusion was rushed, with monologues sometimes overly poetic, making it hard to discern who spoke and what they meant. Metaphors abound, often too abstract. The romance was enjoyable initially but fades towards the climax, leaving potential pairings unresolved—a bit disappointing given the buildup. Humor occasionally felt misplaced yet could be funny at times. With June’s character, humor was expected but sometimes seemed out of context. Despite these issues, the concept was unique, offering a distinctive story about a light queen competition set beautifully.

The artwork is stunning, true to manhwa style, distinct from regular manga. Detailed hair and eyes stand out, especially the costume designs and backgrounds. School settings and creative outfits were beautifully executed, with characters never repeating an outfit across chapters. Traditional Rohini clothing featured elaborate, modern twists, unconventional yet detailed. Fight scenes were well-drawn, not messy, adding to the visual appeal. Characters were uniquely developed despite the story's incoherence. Backgrounds of characters like Yuri and Lucia were well-explained, revealing their personalities and thoughts. Their interactions felt genuine, enhancing enjoyment, although it felt somewhat wasted by the end.

Overall, it’s a good manhwa. I purchased some volumes myself due to the excellent art, useful for character and costume ideas. Rereading might help understand it better, but I won't buy the entire series. Initially, finishing left me confused, thinking, "That's it?" Closure was lacking regarding other characters, yet the middle part was enjoyable, promising something great. Disappointed with the ending, sticking with it for so long made it hard to deny enjoying it. If stuck with the ending, seeking explanations online is advisable.

If any newcomers here is confused whether to read this or not(Since it's canceled). I'd say give it a shot if you can separate the "art from the artist"(which in this case is the writer[not the artist]), it's at the end of the day a really unique experience, and honestly you'll hardly find anything like this, the only one that come to mind is Oshi no ko( which is more of mystery thriller), and Skip beat (which is kinda old at this point).
