I'd say give it a shot if you can separate the "art from the artist"(which in this case is the writer[not the artist]), it's at the end of the day a really unique experience, and honestly you'll hardly find anything like this, the only one that come to mind is Oshi no ko( which is more of mystery thriller), and Skip beat (which is kinda old at this point).
