i get what you're saying but honestly i think its only a select few kind of people who would want the kind of praise he really deserves. lets be real here, he's basically a god just with no immortality thing going on and he cant create things from nothing. he basically advanced their entire epoch a few thousand years within a few days. just being able to heal people like he did would have probably earned him a following of people worshipping him as a saint of some sort. for most people this kind of reverence would be hard to go along with so it wouldnt be surprising if he just wanted everyone to treat him normally. i get thinking he deserves more respect than he is getting but at the same time i doubt its something he would truly want. though i 100% see a harem route in his future, they're going to respect him in more ways than one with that.
