Alice is a shy, quiet high-school student who recently relocated to Tokyo from a peaceful town in Hokkaidō. She longs for the tranquility and clean air of her former home. Upon our introduction to Alice, she faces ridicule and mockery from her next-door neighbor, Rin Kobayashi. Alice retains Mokuren's unique ability to converse with plants and can make them flourish by singing to them. Despite Rin's urging, Alice struggles to recall her past life as a scientist. This difficulty stems from her fear of being submerged in Mokuren's memories and her belief that she cannot meet others' expectations of Mokuren as Alice. Her reluctance to embrace her past reaches a peak when she decides to stop attending after-school meetings with other reincarnates and instead joins the school choir.
