Main Antagonist of Melty Blood. Number 13 of the 27 Ancestors of the Dead Apostles. A Dead Apostle whose form is a phenomenon rather than a physical entity, an intangible Tatari ("Curse") with the ability to give shape to the fears and rumors that spread within a community. He lacks a fixed form, though he is commonly known by the image of the first fear he ever manifested: Count Dracula, falsely believed to haunt Wallachia in Romania.
Originally named Zepia Eltnam Oberon, an alchemist from Atlas and a member of the noble Eltnam family, which he caused to fall. During his research, the Atlas alchemists' capacity to predict the future revealed to him that only destruction awaited the world. Obsessed and driven mad by this, he sought to achieve The Sixth, aiming to create an impossible future beyond his calculations. His transformation into the Tatari was part of his research on The Sixth, realized through a pact with Altrouge Brunestud who summoned the Crimson Moon, transforming him into a curse destined to reappear every thousand years until the Crimson Moon returned him to Zepia Eltnam.
His essence lies in his Reality Marble, the Night of Wallachia, which materializes fears into tangible forms. For him to manifest, a community must circulate increased malignant information like urban legends, horror stories, and unfounded assumptions. This information fuels his power, capable of condensing it into the Night on the Blood Liar, a swirling torrent of virtual data affecting the physical world by consuming blood in vast quantities. As a materialized rumor, his complete destruction is impossible; no matter how many times his forms are destroyed, he will always reappear. Each manifestation reflects the circulating information but retains the personality of a bloodthirsty Dead Apostle.
In Melty Blood, Wallachia appeared in Misaki, creating entities based on the fears of main characters, such as an evil Arcueid succumbing to bloodlust, a bloodthirsty version of Shiki Tohno, and even memories of Nrvnqsr Chaos. Ultimately, Arcueid used her Marble Phantasm to prematurely summon the Crimson Moon, stripping Wallachia of his power and giving him a definite form, after which Shiki Tohno killed him.
