ka-fai yuan

Yuan is a half-elf double agent—the leader of the Renegades, an organization that opposes Cruxis, and one of the Four Seraphim of Cruxis. He pretends to be loyal to Mithos so he can uncover Cruxis's plans and sabotage them. When he is occupied working for Mithos, Yuan delegates control of the Renegades to Botta, his lieutenant. Four thousand years before the game begins, Yuan traveled with Mithos and his companions to end the Kharlan War and was once engaged to Martel before her death. Before she died, Martel asked Mithos and Yuan to make the world a better place and to stop the discrimination against half-elves. Mithos tried to fulfill this wish, but not as Martel had intended. Yuan realized that Martel did not want her wish to be fulfilled in the way Mithos interpreted it, and thus he tries to prevent Mithos from proceeding. Later, he assists the Chosen's group in defeating Mithos, making him something of an anti-hero. Yuan is resilient in his views and highly calculative. Unlike Kratos, he firmly decides to undermine Mithos but chooses to do so covertly to stay close to Mithos. Lloyd and Yuan are often shown in contrast to each other, despite sharing similar goals, with their methods being the focal point. Yuan's methods tend to be more ruthless, and he is willing to sacrifice and harm others if necessary, while Lloyd consistently seeks solutions that avoid harming his friends or any innocents.
