Yoshito Kikuchi is a student of Eikichi Onizuka at Holy Forest Academy. Known for his exceptional computer skills, he scored the highest on a national standardized test without any additional assistance. Serving as the class president, Kikuchi initially causes trouble by creating and distributing pornographic composite photos of Onizuka around the school in an attempt to force him to resign. However, Onizuka catches him and instead of punishing Kikuchi, he hires him to create similar images of female teachers, including Azusa Fuyutsuki.
Over time, Kikuchi befriends Onizuka and assists Noboru Yoshikawa in preventing Anko Uehara's mother, who is the head of the local Parent-Teacher Association, from getting Onizuka fired. Kikuchi has amateur martial arts experience, having practiced judo and other techniques learned from Mayu Wakui. In the live-action version, he claims to know these skills but does not demonstrate them.
After the examinations, it is revealed that Kikuchi switched Onizuka’s test papers to give him a perfect score. When asked about Onizuka’s actual results, Kikuchi calculates the score himself and is surprised by the outcome, questioning whether Onizuka truly achieved a perfect score or one reflecting his intelligence. Onizuka confirms he indeed received a perfect score.
In the manga, there is a hint of a potential relationship between Kikuchi and Ai Tokiwa, encouraged by Onizuka's intervention and a forced embrace. In the live-action adaptation, Kikuchi is in a long-distance relationship with Tomoko Nomura.
