An underling of Fumiya’s, and thus a Kyokuto student, Yoshiaki is beaten when the Oni-Baku take Fumiya down. He later appears in the next volume under Okubo's control. This is because Okubo has kidnapped his girlfriend, Natsumi, making Yoshiaki a reluctant pawn. Despite his broken foot, which put him at a disadvantage against a gang of armed thugs, he turns on Okubo and assists Onizuka by getting Ryuji and the Oni-Baku-gumi to help. After these events, Yoshiaki is seen with Natsumi, seemingly having returned to their normal lives. During the Midnight Angels conflict, he is spotted causing trouble for the police along with his gang.
