Yayoi Nakayama is initially coerced into harassing Ikki by Buccha's team, but she later supports Kogarasumaru. Nakayama possesses the unique ability to communicate with Ikki's crow and can tell the exact time down to a second, a trait shared by more affluent tuners from Tool Toul To. She reveals her crush on Agito and supports him when he is weakened. Ine Makigami once noted Yayoi's potential as an AT-Tuner, even mistaking her for the team's tuner. During Kogarasumaru's battle against the original Sleeping Forest in Inorganic Net, when Agito gets injured, it is Yayoi who tunes him back to health and completes the Fang Regalia merged into his A-T. Agito never seems to recognize Yayoi without her braids and always questions who she is whenever she approaches him with her hair down. While at the training camp, Yayoi worries about Agito overworking himself to create a stronger Fang. Emily convinces her to kidnap him while he sleeps and take him somewhere relaxing. Oddly, when Agito wakes up tied up on a boat in the middle of a lake with Yayoi, he remains silent instead of insulting her, listening quietly as she tells him a story about the lake. When Lind appears during the underwater battle against Orca, Yayoi kisses him to share her air. Annoyed by her interference, Orca slashes her face with his A-T, and Lind complains that Yayoi wasn't that important to him anyway. This act infuriates Agito, causing him to break through Lind's mental cage and regain control of his body. Yayoi has recently become Agito's tuner but mainly acts as an observer during Kogarasumaru's battles.
