Videl is the daughter of Mr. Satan, who is very protective of her, particularly concerning boys. Growing up, she trained in martial arts with the hope of matching her father's greatness, unaware that she had already surpassed him. Videl is a tough, tomboyish character who has lived her entire life surrounded by fame. In her free time, she fights crime in Satan City. After meeting Gohan at Orange Star High School, she becomes suspicious and even follows him to uncover his secrets. Eventually, Videl discovers that Gohan is the Great Saiyaman. She forces him to teach her how to fly and threatens to reveal his identity if he doesn't participate in the 25th Tenka'ichi Budokai. Following the Buu saga, they become a couple and have a child named Pan.
