Urd is Belldandy's older half-sister and the second goddess to appear before Keiichi. She holds the rank of a second-class goddess with a limited license, similar to her youngest sister, Skuld. Urd serves as the Yggdrasil System Administrator and Manager. Despite being more powerful than her sisters, she could not achieve first-class goddess status because her desire for power was solely to protect her sisters, rather than all beings. Urd shares the same father with her younger sisters but has a different mother, the Demon Lord Hild. This makes Urd a hybrid of goddess and demon, evident in her Angel, World of Elegance, which appears half-white and half-black.

Believing herself to be a Goddess of Love, Urd comes to Earth to encourage Keiichi with love potions and well-meaning, albeit deceitful advice. However, due to her unauthorized use of powers on Earth and deserting her post, The Almighty banishes her from Heaven indefinitely. After eventually being allowed to return, she chooses to remain on Earth instead.
