uran

Astro's cybernetic sister in the manga and anime series Astro Boy, as well as its numerous adaptations, is a superhuman android with a naive, tomboyish personality.
1980 series:
Uran was constructed by Professor Ochanomizu in the episode "Uran the Tomboy" as a gift to Astro. She is the third robot addition to Astro's family, following his parents. Uran is an extremely mischievous little girl who frequently gets her older brother into trouble. Although she lacks Astro's weaponry and propulsion systems, she is incredibly powerful (originally possessing 100,000 horsepower, later reduced to 50,000 after being split into two identical copies during one adventure). She regularly accompanies Astro Boy on various missions (or at least tries to). Like Astro, she can experience human emotions, albeit immaturely, often behaving naughtily, disobediently, or annoyingly.
2003 series:
Uran reappeared in the 2003 series under the name Zoran, sporting a slightly altered appearance, including more appropriate attire to appeal to Western audiences. She retains her tomboyish and cheeky personality but is depicted as more adventurous, which frequently lands her in trouble. This trait once allowed her to rescue a professor believed to be missing.
She gains the ability to communicate with animals and befriends a bird named Houdini. However, she often envies her brother's powers, such as his ability to fly and his popularity. She first appeared in the episode "Little Sister, Big Trouble."
