A plainclothes inspector stationed at Bokuto Police Station's Investigations Division, he is uniquely the only officer in Bokuto who is married and has a family. An old veteran at the station since its establishment, most of the younger officers look up to him as a mentor whenever they need help or advice. Like Kachou, Natsumi had a crush on him because she used to prefer older men before meeting Shoji. Tokuno is partnered with a younger detective named Sugihara when working on cases in the field. Similar to Kachou, he appears to be lenient with most of the officers, encouraging them to excel in their specializations.
