kachou

The section chief of Bokuto Station's Traffic Control Department is usually referred to simply as "chief." His name was first revealed in the second season by his monk uncle, known as FOX, to be "Kachou" (which translates to "Flower butterfly"). He is a stern yet fair leader who uses a relaxed approach to manage his team of misfit officers. Natsumi had a long-standing crush on him before she met Toukairin. While he generally allows his subordinates freedom in the station, he ensures they remember their duties as police officers. In the movie, he faced trouble with Superintendent Arizuka when he was linked to Emoto, who was suspected of initiating the Hachi-Ichi-Go (Bee Number 1) crisis in the Greater Tokyo Area. Initially stripped of his command and imprisoned by Arizuka due to suspicions of collusion with Emoto, he eventually disclosed details about both Emoto and Project "Hachi-Ichi-Go," confirming that Emoto had severed ties with him. During the final confrontation at Tokyo Tower, Emoto shot him in the leg, further proving he was not Emoto's accomplice. He uses a Honda NSX as his personal car for police work in the OVA. In the rest of the series, he drives a Honda Legend.
