tsujimoto natsumi

Natsumi is an officer based at the fictional Bokuto Station in Tokyo's Sumida Ward. She has a very outgoing and laid-back personality. Natsumi frequently showcases superhuman strength, second only to Shoji Tokairin, and is passionate about motorcycles, performing high-risk maneuvers on bikes and mopeds. Her appetite for food and alcohol is prodigious, and she occasionally arrives at work with a hangover. Natsumi is also known for being a chronic late sleeper. Despite her numerous bad habits, she is a highly capable police officer who takes her job seriously when required. She keeps a mini-moped, a Honda Moto-Compo (JR-2), in Miyuki's Honda Today squad car, using it for flanking strategies. Initially, it was labeled "NATUMI" (in the Nihon-shiki transliteration system) before her first day at Bokuto, as seen in the beginning of the first anime. Later, it was re-coloured and relabeled "POLICE" in subsequent appearances and on the Bandai Model kit of the Honda Today. Off-duty, she rides a Yamaha RZV motorbike until it is damaged beyond repair later in the first season. Subsequently, she is tricked into buying a Subaru R2 in a near-non-functioning state. This car is then thoroughly renovated and heavily modified by Miyuki into a patrol car, incorporating the wrecked motorbike's engine to make its operation similar to that of a motorbike. In the manga version, this car operates with double engines. Natsumi is skilled in judo and kendo, often defeating opponents during training sessions. Her strength and combat skills complement Miyuki's brilliant mind in creating or modifying vehicles, making them well-known throughout Bokuto Station. She is the only person in the series able to consistently defeat Strikeman's fastballs, earning her the nickname "Home-Run Woman" from Strikeman.
