She is an English teacher at Shirou's school, serves as the homeroom instructor for his class, and oversees the archery dojo. She is commonly referred to as "Tiger," a nickname she detests ("Taiga" and "Tiger" sound alike in Japanese). However, Shirou affectionately calls her "Fuji-nee" (sister Fuji). After Kiritsugu's passing, Taiga became Shirou's guardian and has been living with him for several years. The two share a close bond, with Taiga viewing Shirou as a younger brother.
Initially skeptical of Saber, Taiga feared that "some strange woman was trying to take Shirou from her." She becomes frustrated whenever a new girl shows up at Shirou's house, assuming he hides girls there. Taiga regularly joins Shirou for breakfast and dinner to enjoy Sakura's cooking and always saves some leftovers from breakfast for her lunch.
During Rider's Blood Fort assault on Shirou's school, Taiga was the only person still able to move somewhat. Desperately pleading for Shinji Matou's help, he swiftly kicks her in the head, rendering her unconscious. Nevertheless, she recovers quickly, even indulging in hospital food while recuperating.
