Tachi was a Zeon officer who assisted Crowley Hamon in her mission to attack the White Base and avenge Ramba Ral's death. During their assault, Tachi piloted the squad's last remaining Zaku while Hamon commanded a series of Magella Tops stationed on top of a Gallop hovercraft. In the midst of the battle, Tachi managed to board the White Base and launch an attack with his Zaku. However, when he tried to prevent the explosive-laden Gallop from hitting the White Base, Hamon called him back to engage the Gundam. Tachi attacked the Gundam in his Zaku, but Amuro skillfully flipped it above him, directly into the blast of one of the Zeon's Magella Tops, leading to Tachi's demise.
