Sting Eucliffe is a White Dragon Slayer and a Mage from Sabertooth, currently the strongest Guild in Fiore. Like many other Dragon Slayers, he has an Exceed companion named Lector.
Sting was raised by the Dragon Weisslogia, who trained him in White Dragon Slayer Magic. He eventually used this magic to kill Weisslogia, believing it would make him a "true" Dragon Slayer. However, it was later revealed that Weisslogia allowed Sting to kill him voluntarily to enhance Sting's strength.
His Exceed partner, Lector, once boasted to others that Sting had killed his own parent, leading to bullying and causing Lector to cry. To prevent further tears, Sting promised Lector he would challenge and defeat the Salamander, whom Lector admired, ensuring Lector’s words wouldn’t be considered lies.
At some point, Sting also embedded Dragon Lacrima into his body, making him a Third Generation Dragon Slayer.
