Sol is a member of the Element 4 group. He, along with Juvia, was dispatched to capture Lucy and bring her back to their master, Jose. Known as Sol of the earth, his magic revolves around controlling and creating various forms of earth such as sand and rocks. He has demonstrated the ability to wrap his body around someone's arm or even their entire body.
Sol frequently incorporates French phrases into his speech and speaks in a rhythmic pattern. His attacks are named after musical terms combined with French words for different types of earth (Roche Concerto [rock concerto], Plâtre Sonata [plaster sonata], etc.). Interestingly, "Sol" means "ground" in French.
