His character went on to portray antagonists in various series such as Lion Books, Black Jack, and Rainbow Parakeet. Additionally, he featured in significant roles within animations like Metropolis and Marine Express, along with the more recent Astro Boy: Omega Factor for the Game Boy Advance. Similar to Richard Widmark, the American actor who inspired him, Skunk Kusai seldom belongs to the main cast but remains crucial and unforgettable to viewers. At times, he even overshadows the primary antagonist of a series.
