The "Sewing-Life" Alchemist, known for creating a talking chimera, later reveals that his first speaking chimera was made from lab animals and his wife, whom he transmuted into a chimera in a fit of anger.

He also created a second "talking chimera" by transmuting his daughter Nina and his dog. In the 2003 series, he makes another appearance at the abandoned lab. Initially, Ed mistakes him for a chimera, noticing Shou's twisted body wrapped around the creature's upper body due to a failed alchemy experiment. Shou then asks Ed to complete the philosopher's stone so he can resurrect Nina.
