Alphonse Elric is a human child who tragically lost his body in a forbidden alchemical experiment aimed at reviving his deceased mother. His soul was then bonded to a suit of armor by his brother, Edward Elric. The blood seal that connects Alphonse's soul to the armor is located inside the back of the neck, drawn with Edward's blood. Edward must be cautious when reconstructing Alphonse’s body during transmutations to ensure the blood seal remains intact. If it is damaged or removed, Alphonse's soul will be lost.
