Selim Bradley is the son of Führer King Bradley.
In the manga and the 2009 anime series, Selim is portrayed as the Führer's lively son. He often asks his father to share stories from the battlefield and interesting anecdotes from his daily life. Selim expresses a desire to become a State Alchemist to be more useful to the Führer and considers himself a fan of Edward Elric.
It is later revealed that Selim is not Bradley's biological son but was adopted from a distant relative. Specifically, in the series Brotherhood, he is identified as the Homunculus known as Pride. Pride is the first Homunculus created by Father and is considered the most powerful among them. He appears to hold the highest rank, seen giving orders to Sloth and Envy, earning general respect from the others. Pride is extremely cruel, ruthlessly heartless, and deeply devoted to Father's cause. He mockingly addresses his enemies as "Mister (plus a nickname)" with a smile before attacking. He has proven to be quite clever and resourceful. His attacks primarily involve manipulating shadows, which is convenient because it’s nearly impossible to eliminate one's shadow.
